Okay, not steal, borrow. Or pilfer. Purloin. Filch.
Yes, yes I did just google "synonyms for steal".
Current Song: "Write Your Story" by Francesca Battistelli is my absolute favorite song at the moment. Literally, I'm obsessed. I put it on shuffle and just listen to it on the bus, while I'm walking, while I journal, ALL THE TIME. The words are beautiful, and the message behind the song is just really awesome. Go listen NOW!!!
Current TV Series: I wish I was one of those people who had a different show to look forward to every day of the week, but I only watch two shows and they're both on Tuesdays. Bummer. To make things more depressing, I'm not super crazy about either of them. I could never watch them again and wouldn't care all that much. But hey, you need at least one designated TV night to get through the week, right?
My favorite show is Degrassi. It's probably been on since I was born, which explains why they're on like season 6392836. Okay, maybe it hasn't been on that long, but it sure seems like it. It's still good and full of juicy drama and distinct characters, just like high school actually is.
The other show I enjoy is a very popular in-depth series, Pretty Little Liars. I watched this a few years ago and was instantly hooked. Then I missed a couple weeks and had no idea what was happening, so I just stopped watching it all together. Well, a few weeks ago I discovered it was on right before Degrassi so I gave it another shot. I'm glad I did, it's just as sophisticated and exhilarating as I remember!
Current Pastime: Scrapbooking. I traveled Europe for two weeks this past summer, and snapped over 700 pictures. I would've taken even more if my camera hadn't broken (2 days before we left) in Rome during a totally unforeseen hail storm followed by torrential rain. Where in the world does it hail in 90 degree weather? Rome Italy, my friends.
Anywhozzle, my mom and I are hardcore scrapbookers. No, seriously, it's like a sport to us. It takes us like an hour per page. Each detail has to be perfect. There's what, 5 pictures a page MAYBE? 700 divided by 5 is 140 (I admit I had to use google to calculate that. Google is really coming in handy today!). That's 140 hours, and I'm pretty sure I've already exceeded that and I'm only on day 8 of the trip. Haha, at least it keeps me busy. Distractions. Distractions are good.
Current Obsession: Music. I've been listening to it almost 24/7. Right when I wake up in the morning, I turn on the radio-before I turn on the lights, before I do that huge relieving morning body stretch, sometimes even before I open my eyes. I play it on my way to school, my way home, whenever I'm in my room, in the shower, while I sleep-okay, you get the point. I love my jams. I'm a sucker for alternative and Christian rock. I'm finally outgrowing teen pop music (I don't know if you realize how big of a milestone that is).
Current Triumph: Well this one is super easy to think about. Right now, I'm finished off my 10th DAY PURGE FREE!!!!! Yes, almost a week and a half without purging. That is something I have never been able to say before. It's a personal record and I am damn proud of myself. I feel like crap because I used to use that addiction to cope with everything, and now it's all bottled up inside. I'm finding new ways to cope though. I gave purging up for lent, and I will never break the promise I made to God for these 45 days no matter what comes up. It's going to be longer than 45 days too, because after lent is over I will not give up. I will not give in.
Current Drink: Oh gosh. My mouth is watering just thinking about my answer to this one.
Three words: Apple Cinnamon tea.
OH yes. A huge mug of steaming hot apple cinnamon tea with stevia and a splash of Walden Farms maple syrup. Usually several mugs.
Absolute perfection.

Current Food: Mangos. Mangoes? However it's spelled, that doesn't change the fact that they are the most magical scrumptious mouthwatering tropical fruits on the planet. Notice I said "tropical" fruit, because melons will still be my number one fruit. If there was a fire in my house, the first things I would save are my melons.
Okay, maybe I'd save my pets first. But melons, you're second. I will never forsake you.
Wait we were talking about mangos initially right? Ah, yes. They're pretty fabulous as well.
Current Blessing: We have had beautiful weather the last two days! It has been 60 degrees outside, and the snow is almost all melted. Spring is just around the corner! I sat on my backyard patio the other day enjoying a mango (hehe) and listening to the melodious birds sing. Nature is God's greatest gift, and is so taken for granted nowadays. Most people would rather sit inside and watch TV or plant themselves in front of a computer than take their dog for a walk or just sit outside in the sun and enjoy the fresh air. I will never understand that.
Current Good Habit: I have been remembering to read my devotions every single day out of my "Jesus Calling" devotional. The book is written as if God is speaking directly to you, and I feel a wave of his presence the moment I open up the book. I would definitely recommend buying the book. You don't even have to read it everyday, but whenever you want to be reassured that God has his loving arms wrapped around you.
Current Bad Habit: This is more of a consistent bad habit rather than a current one, but biting my nails and fingers would without doubt be one of my worst habits. I suppose I'm noticing it more now because my hands are so dry from the cold weather, and I just find myself doing it whenever I'm not busying my hands with something else. I gotta stop that. I could do without weird looks from people during class, hahaha.
Current Excitement: The thing I'm super excited for right now is the Springtime and all the beautiful things God brings with it! I'm exciting to take my turtle out of his tank and let him explore the outdoors, I'm excited to get out on my bike and train for my 35 mile ride to cure diabetes in June, I'm excited to finally run outdoors again and enjoy every beautiful thing nature has to offer, and I'm exciting to grow my own fruits and vegetables in our garden. My friend and I are both going to plant apple trees and see which one grows faster! I could go on and on with reasons why I love and can't wait for Spring, but I think you get the idea!
What do you love about Spring? Leave a comment!
Current Mood: Right now I'm feeling pretty negative because of a bad body image day. I blocked out the voices and ate anyway, but honestly now I just feel worse. I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day! I'm going over my mentor's (from my church) house to play guitar and jam to Christian rock music! Oh that's another excitement- I'm getting my own guitar in a few weeks!
Current Hair: My hair is currently a shade of auburn. It was originally red-brown-purple when I dyed it a little over two months ago, and I absolutely adored it. Color never seems to stay in my hair though, so it's faded a lot since then, but it's still way darker than my original hair color. I'm re-dying it next weekend, and I haven't decided on a color yet! Suggestions would be awesome :)
